Am I eligible for laser hair removal?

Have you ever wondered if laser hair removal is for you? Or are you already being treated and wondering about preparing for your next appointment? Here is a great table to help you know when you can start your next treatment. 

Procedure/Condition Laser Hair Removal Treatment
 Blonde/gray/red/white hair Light hair clients can expect up to 20% hair reduction, not recommended 
Prolonged sun exposure Wait at least 7 days for treatment
Sunburn Wait at least 14 days for treatment, longer if still peeling
Self tanners Wait at least 14 days for treatment
Chemical peel Wait at least 14 days for treatment, longer if still peeling
Tanning bed use Wait at least 14 days for treatment, longer if burned
Anti-aging laser treatments Wait at least 30 days for treatment, longer if still peeling or irritated 
Epilepsy Clients with epilepsy can be treated
Retin A's/Retinoids/Retinol Wait at least 7 days for treatment, longer if still peeling
Hydroxy and Beta Hydroxyl Wait at least 7 days from last dose
Hyroquinone and Kojic Acid Wait at least 7 days from last dose
Abnormal lesions, moles, or spots We need doctor approval before treatment
Active cold sores We cannot treat clients with active cold sores
Accutane or similar products Wait at least 6 months from last dose
Botox or dermal fillers Wait at least 14 days before and after injection if you are getting treated in the same place as your fillers
Waxing/tweezing/chemical epilation Wait at least 3 weeks since last done
Pregnancy We cannot treat pregnant clients
Radiation/chemotherapy We cannot treat until off radiation for at least 6 months to one year
Autoimmune disease/disorders We can treat clients anytime with these diseases
Pacemakers We need doctor approval before treatment
Tattoos We cannot treat over your tattoo or within one inch of your tattoo on all sides
